Dark Sun Creature Catalog still not in Compendium

The book has been out since early August. Three months later it's still not in the 'other' on-line tool. (Kind of puts the lie to 'since the CB is now on-line, we can update it any time' argument.)

Are there any plans for it ever being added? Did you just forget you published it?

Additionally, they still have not converted all the monsters to MM3 format.

Nov 18, 2010 13:59:20 It would be really nice to have this added. My suspicion is that it is related to the active projects and any ongoing work on the new MB, but it is hard to say. Regardless, it would be nice to have these monsters in some digital form.

101118-000290 (reference number). Let's see how long it takes to get an answer-and more importantly for them to put it in the Compendium

They responded. They 'have no timeline' for when it'll be added, which sounds a lot like 'never' to me.

The lack of any digital form of monsters for DS is proving to be an impediment; it's a real pain in the rear to juggle through four or five pages in the books during a game, and I don't have a real photocopier to speak of.

I'm running out of justifications for keeping my subscription alive. Subscription implies support.

I'm pretty sure we won't see any updates to the MB (and maybe even the Compendium) until the web-version of the MB is live, but considering how much trouble the CB is proving to be that probably won't be until next year, and probably not even first quarter.

A good reason why, if you find the service lacking, to ask for a refund. I sent in a refund request for November, due to the online CB issues and the lack of updates for a Compendium, and was provided one.

Would it make you feel better if they put a generic "online tools update" for the 31st/30th/28th of each month and then roll out whatever they have sometime during the month as opposed to just not putting anything on the calendar?

First of all...yeah updates from Mudbunny and Trevor.

I agree that they should have updated by now, but you also seemed to be complaining about the lack of an entry on the calendar concerning any updates. Being a developer and having QA reject builds for bugs we didn't find I know that a strict schedule is not always feasible unless you like software with bugs. I say this because their behavior thus far has to been to roll out all updates at once (CB/compendium/MB). What they need to do is roll out updates as they get them and have the individual tools update at separate times based on when things pass QA.

I wasn't trying to address the lack up update, just the lack of something on the calendar.

I wasn't. The calendar hasn't always been where information was available (certainly true recently).

I'm glad they're going to put it in, but it should have been there on 9/7. A lot of people started DS campaigns in August assuming the materials would all be available in short order. There was never a reason all of it wasn't in the compendium on that date. It's really indefensible, considering how much money dopes like me spent on the books counting on them continuing to update it (and the CB) the following month.
