So here is a thought. What if wizards made DDI really mean something, by that I mean, if you are an insider, perhaps you could have access to something like the subscription paths that Paizo does with it's pathfinder product? Even better, offer these subscriptions with the free pdf companion document like Paizo Even better then that, why not offer these subscriptions with a discount for the books. If you sign up for a subscription, you get 10% or more off of the cover price, AND a copy of the book in pdf format. Subscriptions could be had for campaign settings, and for core books for example. You would automatically be shipped the book, and receive a link to a personal download-able pdf version after release through your DDI account. All of the sudden you have something that makes being an Insider something unique. A place to get PDF's of the books, as well as a great way to recoup some of the cost of being an Insider from book discounts. I know you can get the book's cheaper through Amazon, etc. BUT you don't get a PDF, I know not everyone wants to buy all of the books, but as I look up at my bookshelf, I realize, so far I have and I suspect there are a lot more people just like me that love the books not only for the game material, but also as parts of a collection, which lends itself perfectly to this scenario. Just a thought....
