I like the new character builder but I would like some more portraits. Since the visualizer is still a ways out, is there any chance that we can get some more pictures? At least a few for each race, like maybe 2 for each gender?

If there is not going to be any new portraits from WOTC is there anyone out there who has whipped up some good portraits?

I just use the GIMP to make them; fairly simple process. If you'd like, I could send the file I use over to you (you'll need the latest version of gimp, though... or Photoshop; I could save it as a .GIF instead of a .XCF).

I just grab what ever pic online or off my art & photo collection and crop it to what I want

We can expect to see some new race/class portrait combinations once the PH2 data is live in the character builder, so that will give you a few more options.

I've also hunted down the old portrait archive we had. Here's the link: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/arch/pc

If you find any portraits you like there, you can import the picture to your character sheet.

You don't need to crop the image for printing.

You just click on it and you can zoom in and out and move it around to get the exact look you want when printed.
