#1 cthulhuchild Jun 11, 2008 19:30:22	Ok, obviously if it's an online session with 6 players and a DM, if you want to be one of those people you need to be paying your subscription. But I'm wondering... I'm currently holding a sort of hybrid session that involves a projected map and a ton of webcams (with players in 2 locations). It's messy but it works well enough: the question is is there any ability for one player to control multiple characters? IE I've got 4 people with me, I want to have a shared digital board between the 2 locations: can I have my players (through my computer/account) control their guys, and then the other 2 players who are not with me IRL use a single computer/account to participate? Or is it that the second you take it from an offline mode (where you are just using it as an electronic battle map that helps do bookeeping) into an online mode (where players are connecting to the map remotely) do you suddenly need a subscription for everyone? Similarly, hypothetically, let's say wizards releases a 10 doller expanison with a 500 new virtual minis and 30 new tilesets, and I buy it. Now when I play, does EVERYONE IN MY GROUP need to buy the extra content inorder to play/use it? Or is this kinda like, you know, real D&D:where if one player brings a new box of minis, everyone in her group can now play with them. Edit: Potentially crazy question. For the 'offline mode', would they do something really draconic like require everyone in my group to be an active subscriber, inorder for them to have a character registered in my game?
#2 Kentinal Jun 11, 2008 19:52:19	Vminis and Tiles owed by any member in the game can be used, Every player can play more then one character from their box. At least as I understand program design. Not all users appear to be require to pay for a 3d as long as the DM or player owns that 3d. Plans subject to change with or without notice. *sighs*
#3 seTiny Jun 11, 2008 20:04:09	Subscribers will also have a [yet unspecified] number guest passes each month to give to non-subscribers. This allows them to play on the game table for a 24 hour period starting when they are given the guest pass. Like Kentinal said V-minis and tiles are shared with everyone at the table. If the owner of those items leaves then the minis turn into tokens and the 3-d tiles turn into 2-d tiles. Players can control multiple characters. So if you have players sharing a monitor that account (or guest pass) can control each character of the players at the monitor.
