How would one go about asking for a refind on DDI? This is rubbish. I still can't download issue 368 of Dragon. One of the articles is in back and can't even be opened as there is no link. Its this one.

Designing Skill Challenges

New column! Mike explores the ins and outs of the skill challenge system, with examples of unique implementations.

And Dungeon 159 won't sownload either even though it seems complete. Really frustrated and not happy. WoTC may have a no refund policy I don't know but I also have a no purchase WoTC policy and I wasted lots on 3rd ed splatbooks and TSR products aliong with Magic the Gathering. They screw me I don't buy their product simple really. Already stopped buying D&D minis, few other product lines I can ditch. Who do I go bug with my complaints?

RPGnow.com. Pay money via paypal, get link, download product. Why can't WoTC seem to manage it?

Designing Skill Challenges was pushed back a month for some reason and they never removed it from the ToC. You can find a link to it on the Dragon 369 ToC.

Unfortunatly, I don't know how to fix your download woes as they work fine for me(I just double checked both mentioned issues from my sister's computer). Perhaps you can try emailing Customer Support and see if they can provide a copy to you(I know that was mentioned as something you could do when they were planning on taking the issues down at the end of the month).

And I really doubt you can get a refund. If you want to try though about your only hope would be to email customer service though.....probably better if you do it in a seperate email from the one requesting the magazine though, if you choose to try to get a copy of the magazine that way.

There are a myriad of issues which may prevent you from downloading, depending on your system and browser used.

You can try e-mailing Customer Support here: http://wizards.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/wizards.cfg/php/enduser/ask.php?p_sid=7Ys63Zjj&p_accessibility=0&p_redirect=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPSZwX3NvcnRfYnk9JnBfZ3JpZHNvcnQ9JnBfcm93X2NudD02MDAsNjAwJnBfcHJvZHM9JnBfY2F0cz0mcF9wdj0mcF9jdj0mcF9zZWFyY2hfdHlwZT1hbnN3ZXJzLnNlYXJjaF9ubCZwX3BhZ2U9MQ**

And they should get back to you in a couple of days (though this is now a holiday).

Alternately, I imagine if you provide more specific information to the community here (in a new thread, in the Technical Discussions forum http://forums.gleemax.com/forumdisplay.php?f=714) we may be able to troubleshoot your issue in a more expedient fashion.

Some already existing threads on similar issues can be found here:

WotC has indicated, in the past, that they have no intention of providing a cash refund. A credit appears to be their policy.

The statement is months old and policy might have been revised.

This clearly does not prevent you from disputing a charge via your payment system and local laws. Policy does not trump law.
I though do believe you should try work arounds before you dispute the payment by demanding a refund. You want the content and should be able to get it, most appear to be getting it. Dispute of billing would tend to make WotC less inclined to sell you more content.

Think carefully before you dispute, what you do now can have long range effects.

I also agree contact CustServe makes sense, though their database likely is based on links already offered you to get the content.

I sent an email to DDI people @wizards or whatever it was. See what happens. Not a happy camper. The law here would be on my side. You pay for something and someone can't provide the goods or service and there even a government department you can go to and a piece of legislation called the fair trading act.

What would stop you downloading somehting. I have no problems getting PDFs off RPGnow or Kobold Quartly or Paizo when I buy them.

While I do not know what problem you are having, I had a problem downloading the PDF. I could only load the PDF in a browser. Whenever I clicked the save button in the browser it would prompt to save a “download.ASP”. This had confused me as I thought it was a bug (It is a bug) that wanted to open another page. I renamed it to the PDF name I wanted with the PDF extension and clicked save. It saved as a PDF and I could open it without problem.

In a previous plan for supplying back issues, customer support was to be able to provide issues that had been taken down from the website. So it was at least planned at one point for them to be able to provide issues through means other than the website. The question is just whether or not they got around to implementing that option....although honestly I don't think the TC really cares about getting the PDFs and he just wants his refund. *shrugs*

Perhaps if you explain in this (or another) thread what the problem you are encountering in trying to download the issues is.

There are plenty of tech-savvy people on this forum who understand how to negotiate the oddities of the DDI system, who might be able to help!
