Only getting the +2 proficiency bonus with the Dejada, whereas when I equip a Sling, it changes it to a +3.  Dejada being in the Sling weapon group it should work, correct?
Deadeye Slinger: you treat slings as having a +3 proficiency bonus and the high crit weapon property.

It doesnt say you treat the Sling Group it says you treat slings. i.e The weapon and not the group.

Thats how I read it and it is the same way with a feat or two for crossbows (the weapon) and not Crossbows (the group)

I'd argue otherwise.  Slings plural refers to the group.  The sling, singular, refers to the specific weapon.  This refers to the group.  It's a very, very easy thing to fix, but probably one that they're not aware of, since the vast majority of users of the feat (pure rogues) can't use the Dejada with any of their class features, as those DO require the specific weapon.

This is the problem with making weapon groups with the same name as individual weapons within that group.  it makes things confusing, especially when you have a group consisting of ONE weapon with the same name as its group, and add another weapon to that group.

Clever design strikes again.

This is probably something that needs mentioning as a bug report, and as an errata request, so that the rules confusion can be clarified one way or the other (and as with so many such things, I'd be happy to see it clarified, even if it were clarified to the position I wouldn't prefer).  It clearly is confusing, and that's what errata are for.
