The titles of the past several (Good Feats; Gnomes, Bad & Ugly; etc.) seem to be almost directly copied either from last year's Design & Development, or experts from the "Wizards Presents: ___" books. While I myself cannot complain, because while I bought Races & Classes, I do not have a DDI subscription (yet.) However, I would imagine that if I did, I would feel, well, gyped. Having to pay for the same article twice? Me no likey. |

I actually enjoyed seeing some of the behind of the scene stuff about the gnome. Hearing about what sort of niche the gnome race filled was nice. |

I loved this last one - to see the internal memos back and forth makes me feel like an Insider who is privy to the design processes, debates, and justifications for why things are the way they are. Keep them coming! Verys. |

That's why i like them as well. To see the design process that they go through, as well as the choices that they didn't make. |

I was quite pleased by that information even if the rest of the article felt like a rehash. Now if only we could have more of these! (FR design team, I am looking at you.) |
| #6The_JesterFeb 10, 2009 10:03:10 | They're rather informative but reek of justifications, if not filler. "Here's why we did what we did; see, not arbitrary!" I do like the fight against gnomes being cute. When were they cute before WoW? |
| #7mudbunnyFeb 10, 2009 10:28:00 | I think reason vs justification all depends on what point of view (direction in time) you are looking at it from. What is reasons for doing something before the fact can look an awful lot like justification after the fact. |
