After building a multitouch gaming table for my D&D campaign, I came to the realization that automating D&D wasn't fun for my players.  They claimed that a computer-moderated game just wasn't the same for them.  After digging deeper, I discovered that it's a mistake to have a computer roll dice for a player. Based on this feedback, I created the DiceCAM, which is a hardwood box that you can roll dice into.  When dice are rolled into the DiceCAM, a built-in webcam captures the image, determines what the rolls were, and passes the results on to your game.   You can support this project on Kickstarter, and you can get more information at www.dicecam.ca.
