| #1RCanineFeb 20, 2009 21:15:40 | I'm reading this page: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/insidernews/20090219 and it's claiming a update to the Character Builder data set. When I launch the Character Builder, I see "Up to date!" yet when I launch it I do not have the changes mentioned in the article. Anyone have any insight on this? |
| #2tyrenFeb 20, 2009 21:16:41 | No, 4th tuesday of the month (feb 24th). That post is just a note about upcoming changes. |
| #3NyarlathotepFeb 21, 2009 10:50:16 | Ah. I had the same problem as the OP because the article DOES read as if the updates have already been done. |
| #4coliver74Feb 21, 2009 20:34:01 | Ah. Same here. I even went so far as to uninstall, download it again, and reinstall, because I thought maybe there was a glitch. Then I searched the site twice to make sure there wasn't some manual way to update that I had missed. |
| #5mudbunnyFeb 21, 2009 23:28:37 | Hmm, I will ask DM, when he writes up the articles, to mention the date of the update. |
| #6CailteFeb 22, 2009 5:45:31 | It updates on Tuesday in the US. Which will probably be around midday in the UK, if the usual update scheduel is followed. |
| #7EldradWolfsbaneFeb 22, 2009 12:19:28 | My Character Builder won't accept my password to update the program I just downloaded.![]() Why doesn't WOTC release an already updated version? I so far have loved the 4th edition but all the lost password/accounts issues I have had with this website really make me wary. WotC should have never announced the DDI until it was ready to release. It just looks bad to make a promise of a product and still not have it all ready some 6 months later. |
| #8coliver74Feb 25, 2009 20:12:17 | My Character Builder won't accept my password to update the program I just downloaded. I don't have log in issues with Character Builder program, but I do have issues with logging in to the WotC site. The one time I reported the error, the response was to blame it on my browser. So I adjusted the settings, nothing changed. I even installed another browser and used it (Google Chrome, which I'm using now) but still have the same issues. I have to click on the login button two, sometimes three times before it will finally show I am logged in. mudbunny, thanks for asking "DM" to mention the date in the article. It would prevent some confusion for others in the future. For those of us this time, I doubt we forget. |
| #9asmodeusloreFeb 25, 2009 22:08:01 | My Character Builder won't accept my password to update the program I just downloaded. I found that I had to use my email address instead of the username when i tried to update. |
