| #2SoulCatcher78Oct 27, 2008 6:12:34 | Could it be that they aren't counting the free content in that? Granted, it's not 80 pages worth of stuff but I took it to mean that they were reffering to what you're paying for. dunno. ![]() |
| #3JohnLynchOct 27, 2008 6:26:02 | I looked at the earlier issues and they're all 110-130 pages in size. |
| #4asmodeusloreOct 27, 2008 8:08:27 | It were about 200 pages in each of the free months. This brings me to my question: Thats possible, but given the mentality they've switched to about deadlines and broken promises, I suspect they are actually just underestimating, and giving themselves some room to work. Yes, there will probably be 1 or 2 months out of the year that have smaller issues, but the majority of the time, you should see the same thing now as you saw during the free months. |

Page Counts(Please note that this month's compilations are not out yet, so October's issues will have more pages then the listed numbers due to the lack of non-game content articles and stuff like table of contents that are present in the other issue compilations.) June- Dragon(85), Dungeon(109), Total(194) July- Dragon(80), Dungeon(129), Total(209) August- Dragon(87), Dungeon(136), Total(223) September- Dragon(75), Dungeon(111), Total(186) October- Dragon(84), Dungeon(90), Total(174) So at the moment with some content missing as stated above, we have an average issue size for Dragon and the smallest Dungeon by 19 pages. It is also 8 pages behind the smallest previous month. When the ToC and cover are added in, we get an extra 3 pages for Dragon(4 if we throw in the Editorial as well) and 2 pages for Dungeon(3 if we add the editorial). That then puts Dragon at 88 pages(the largest issue so far), Dungeon at 93(still the smallest issue), and the total to 181. However this is still not including "Save My Game", "Dungeoncraft", "Designing Skill Challenges", "Design and Development", "Confessions", "RPGA Report", or "Ampersand". Assuming 1 page each(although I think most of them will be more then one page, but I don't feel like figuring out avegare lengths for them) that adds 7 more pages, bring the total to 188 pages(and putting it above September for total page count). Edit: Alright the Compiled Dragon has been released and it is 99 pages, which brings the non-normalized total up to 183. With table of contents, cover, and editorial for Dragon, it becomes 187. And there are still 5 articles without page counts for Dragon that will put in the compiled version. |
