| #1sandharrowJan 25, 2009 18:38:07 | Hi: I have two questions for the group: 1) are any of the online D&D alternatives good ways to play a one off session where everyone can't get together? Sometimes its hard to get together in person and it would be nice to play a session online, even if you can't do certain things. Online whiteboard/map + basic chat might seem to do this ok, would be interested if anyone has something they like. Our DM is a luddite so he has no interest in programming/setting things up but could probably draw simple maps on the fly with a mouse. 2) If you can't get the full group together are there any good MMOG or casual MMOG that you play with some of your group on? www.AQ.com seems quite easy to get a group together in, I haven't played it long enough to see if it gets interesting. Combat seems trivial to the point of being repetitious. thanks S |
