| #1MyztekSep 29, 2008 17:05:53 | In the Swordmage Article we see a new 1st level Daily for the Swordmage called Dimensional Thunder. The power lists (in order): A target (single creature) The attack (attribute versus defense) An effect (teleportation) Hit (the damage dealt) Another effect (an effect applied to adjacent enemies) How is this resolved? Do I do them in the order listed? If so, do I still need to be adjacent to the initial target after the teleport to damage them on a hit? Or can I declare the target, deal the damage, then teleport, then impart an effect on adjacent enemies? |

It's only been one session, but the Player was generally okay with it. |

| #4darkdiashiNov 14, 2008 11:55:17 | I forget the fluff text but isn't the point of demensional thuder to be thunder? Thunder is sound and force (not the damage type, literal force like vibrations), both of which can hit after a teleportation (the Demensional aspect of the move) because they result from the teleportation itself. So the hit could very likely be deliberatly designed to go after the teleport. It's similar to the Slashing Wake Path Feature for the Feytouched Warlock(pg141). Just my interpretations :D |

| #6koukDec 04, 2008 21:39:04 | It is awkwardly written, but I also go with the "Teleport, Attack, Ongoing Damage" interpretation. |
| #7sarDec 09, 2008 9:51:12 | It is awkwardly written, but I also go with the "Teleport, Attack, Ongoing Damage" interpretation. I agree, this is how I've been playing this attack. And starting with a teleport at the beginning of an attack is very handy... Sar |

Attack target that is adjacent 2. teleport 3. deal 5 ongoing damage to all enemies adjacent to your new location (original target may or may not be among them) or 1. teleport 2. deal 5 ongoing damage to all adjacent enemies 2. Attack target that is adjacent I have seen both at different tables. I have also seen swordmages telporting into the same square from which they started (basically telport 0) because they liked their current position |
