Disappointed in Dragon/Dungeon Merge

Sep 15, 2008 17:09:03 I wish to once again voice my displeasure at the combining of the Dragon and the Dungeon forums.

I feel that they should be separate, even if there is individually a bit low "traffic," because:

1) It just will be confusing for browsing with the 8 million articles that there will be combined,

2) It will be difficult to use the Search function for things with so many different "false" hits coming up

3) It blurs the distinction between the magazines significantly,

4) Players should not have such accidental access to spoilerific DM stuff (adventures).

5) Now pretty much every single new thread must be prefaced or postfixed with "DRAGON 367," or "DUNGEON 158," or just the numbers "367" and "158" for instance so people can keep things straight. This makes the forum look very bad.

I agree, and I am also disappointed. As a soon-to-be former Dungeon reader, I liked having an exclusive place where other Dungeon readers patronized. It was nice to not see all of the Dragon traffic clutter up the place.

Yeah, the merge sucks. But, I life goes on. At least they warned us.

Sep 16, 2008 19:03:48 What I dont understand is they have a forum for dragon and dungeon articles. And then another one for.... dragon and dungeon discussion. So apart from the articles are we to talk about the cover art or something?

Should you have comments, you can either post them there or, WotC_Michelle (on behalf of Solice) has started a poll looking for comments on the re-organization here, which I see that Rhianni32 and Kouk have already posted in.
