My DM built his encounter using the encounter creator.
He used the stats in the compendium.
We all died.
I was wondering why until we cross-check what is on the compendium and what is in the MM. The creatures had an insanely higher damage output (1d8+4 + ongoing 5 on two targets became 3d6+4 + ongoing 5 on two targets )

Maybe you should get someone to verify what is in the db because we won't be using those tools anymore (the game was frustrating for most because it became too hard) and cross-checking myself every times I use it makes the tool useless.

compendium is in beta, so a lot of the info is incorrect, (try making a swordmage). best thing you can do is use the report bug function.

the compendium should be in beta.... features rapidly changing, data not reliable... it should be labeled as such.

One thing that I have noted is that you can get different-level versions of one monster in the Compendium (for instance, I think they have a Level 2 Goblin Sharpshooter, a Level 4 Goblin Sharpshooter, and a Level 6 Goblin Sharpshooter, or something like that - get the wrong one, and suddenly you've got a monster that will whip your a**). If the Encounter Builder threw the wrong level in there, it might explain why that happened.

Not that it's good, regardless, but it may be what happened.

Check the errata too, some monsters were upgraded in damage,,, it might haave been a fair encounter and you just wiped
