Hi, I created some cards for the DND game we will be participating in. I have to give credit where credit is due; the program and the templates were brought to my attention at the ENWorld forums (names to be placed here very soon).

I created character cards (to replace character sheets), including a front with the info, and a back with the character portrait.

Also included are power cards, color coded by type, and I'm working on equipment cards, too. I'll post them as I have them completed.

CREDIT:
Character Card Art: Created by me using Fabrica de Herois, with the exception of the dragonborn; I swiped it from an image posted here on the boards. I have to give the proper credit for the poster (and will), but it was also created using Fabrica de Herois.

Card Creation: The Magic Set Editor by Twan van Laarhoven.
DND Powers Template for Magic Set Editor: TBD

Looks nice. Too bad the only thing I get form this thread without using the archived version is a database error. I hope when it works again you return to update with more cards.

Thanks hellmute! I was locked out (db error) all day yesterday. I'm running off to the gym (finally) and then to take the family to see Wall*E, but I will update later today. I have more card backs and power cards to toss up, plus equipment cards (It is tough to find decent pictures).

I just placed all of the front and backs for the character cards for all five characters. I think I have everything correct, but if anything changes it will be reflected above.

Next, place the power cards (racial and class) up for each character.

I need to buy clear plastic sleeves for these; I'd like to print on cardstock, but we'll see how that works out.

These are very cool. I was wondering if you'd be willing to post up the MSE files. I'd love to try to make my own. I won't have the fanciest art in the world, but these seem very, very cool.

Hi MountC,

You can find the Magic Set Editor files at:
magicseteditor.sourceforge.net.

You can find the (Lord Tirian's) Template for the MSE that I used for the cards HERE at this post at ENWorld. That thread has tons of useful stuff for anyone who wants to make their own cards.

I can't for the life of me find the thread where someone posted character images from Fabrica de Herois, but I'd like to thank them (it may have been Endymnion, but I can't be sure, darn bookmarks vanished several weeks ago).
That thread is FOUND.

Cheers,
-E

Sweet. I post in that thread as Mercutio01, but I somehow missed the character cards. Very cool. Thank you.

I'm attempting to make my own card for characters and monsters. I drew some inspiration from the DDM layout. Here's a mockup of what I've done in GIMP to show what I've got so far.

Hey Montc, that is a nice card. Definitely great for storing monster info!

Check this post at DragonAvenue for what our new cards look like.

And check this one to download the MSE files.
