My friends and I currently use OpenRPG and Teamspeak to role-play online. The D&D Game Table looks nice and I don’t mind paying the $15/month fee as the GM but I cannot convince the players to spend $15/month for a game we will at most play once a week and more likely only once a month.

Yes or No.
A subscriber will be given guest passes to invite non members to play up to 24 hours.
Problem is we do not yet know how many passes will be available per month for the 15.00 (lower if taking 3 or 12 month option) per month fee.
Stay tune and sooner or later many unanswered questions will be answered.
In the case of playing once a month it strikes me as likely there would at least 4 passes as part of the fee. Once a week the DM might need to purchase additional passes for a yet unknown cost.
All in all until more prices and answers are released your question has no answer.
