If you post frequently in the D&D insider forums please reply to this post. I'm looking to add some people to my friends list. I've already got the VCL's and a couple of others, but I decided to take the lazy road rather than search through a bunch of threads or try and remember everyone's screen name.

Well I was active a while ago, however recent month or two slowed down.

Anyway, yeah, I also post somewhat frequently in the DDI forums (less now, since the site is less to my liking), but my profile is set to maximum privacy - I don't accept broadcasts/requests/messages/etc.
Which raises a point of interest for VCLs: can they send PM's to people who block them/won't accept messages from non-friends?
Doesn't appear so. If I click on your profile pic and choose "Send a message" it doesn't allow me to.
That should probably be fixed along with the issue about ignore lists. VCLs ought to be able to PM people. Actually, I'm curious about that whole thing - most forum software I see has something like "receive PMs only from administrators" - here it's "only from friends." I'm sure there's a setting somewhere that can override that, though.
I will push that up the line. I am not sure that VCLs should be able to PM *anyone*. I, personally, don't want the responsibility that comes along with being an "administrator", and I am not sure that it wouldn't cause more troubles than it would be worth.

Good point. I've never quite been sure where VCL authority ended; if it's not appropriate for VCLs to be PMing people straight through their privacy settings, then...uh....nevermind all that stuff I just said.

No, it is something that I will definately push up. My opinion may have been tempered by some experiences with a poster who was...ummm...rather report worthy as a result of PMs they sent me, rather repeatedly.
