RPGA Report: Ultimate Summer Fun!

May has come and gone, and we’re diving into the busy summer convention season. We start with updates on recent goings on in Organized Play, then it's on to the Ultimate Dungeon Delve premiering at Origins.

So... are those dungeon tile for the delve only or from a future set? Because they look like they'd be damn handy for a lot of campaigns.
I'm fairly certain they're the reward you get if you've DM'd 5 or more RPGA games.

I had made sure that my registration information was up-to-date in October, and again in the spring, but I didn't receive the original DM Rewards. Is there any way to check that my information is entered properly? I've DMed more than 5 times since the last mailing, and that does look like a really neat award...
The only reward you should have received so far is Village of Hommlet.

Yep, I know that the only thing I should have seen was the Village of Hommlet, and I did update it once or twice again when I realized I wasn't seeing anything during the last cycle. I just wish there was a more active step I could take to ensure that things are good.
Yes. You must be enrolled in DM Rewards (which takes all of 30 seconds if you have your DCI/RPGA number) and DM/report at least 5 sessions of play between January 1 - June 30, 2009. You will then receive 2 sheets of the ship tile in our August mailing.

Just caught this article in this months compiled issue (I don't participate in the RPGA so didn't bother to download it individually). I must say I'm incredibly unhappy. Missing out on exclusive adventures doesn't bother me (I usually make my own anyway), but reward program exclusive tile sets leaves me fuming. I happily purchase two of each marketed tile set and would gladly purchase this set if it were such a product, but I have neither the time nor the inclination to track down sanctioned events to DM for people I've never met.
I'm glad WotC provides programs such as the RPGA and I think it does a lot of good for the community, but it's just not for me. If this was just an early product preview that I could eventually purchase as part of a full set later on I wouldn't have a problem. I understand the need to provide incentives and rewards to those that participate in these kinds of programs, but this just makes me feel like I'm being pressured to participate in an extracurricular program.
