Robert J Schwalb is earning his pay this month, as he's writing five of the thirteen articles in it.

Ooh ... Class Acts: Ardent?  That has potential.  Hopefully it's some good powers and not the usual 'five pages of fluff ... oh, here's a paragon path and a couple of backgrounds' stuff.

I think lots of people will be interested in the Bases and Strongholds article.

Class Acts: Knight???!- What, is that going to be 1-2 new at will stances/utility powers with a magical flavor?  There's not a lot of room for new Knight mechanics.

Godly Images (what does X god look like to dwarves) and Help from friends (merge your backstories) are almost assuredly pure fluff articles.  Primal Spirits of Arthas could go either way to be pure fluff or have a smattering of flavored powers.

Strongholds sounds like Lair items part two: Crunch, but hardly useful in 95% of campaigns- 10 to 1 the there'll be uncommon/rare items involved.

Then there's the question of whether CD: Vecna will be a Deities and Demigods in disguise.  This month isn't looking promising.

I do not know, I looked at these article descriptions and kind of thought they had promise.

I got a completely different impression on the Strongholds description than you.

The carefree life of a wandering adventurer has its appeal, but there comes a time when brave heroes want a place to call home. This article presents a simplified system for quickly building and maintaining strongholds without getting lost in minutiae.

I do not see this as items I see this as how to build a stronghold. I am thinking it will be quick to the point and if my guess is right will look to 1st Edition for some inspiration.

Glad to see a Class Act: Ardent, proving AEDU is still live and rocking.

Base & Stronghold intrigues me.

Channe Divinity: Vecna will be more than welcome.

Thanks frothsof.
Cool. So chances are it won't be only 3-4 Regional Backgrounds and a few Items mixed in, but Feats and Powers as crunchy as it needs to.

I just hope the new Ardent adds implement use which alot of Psionic fans wanted in the first place instead of the melee oriented version we got.

Yay more Channel Divinity articles about evil gods

I'm excited.  I've got an ardent in my Darksun party.  I'm looking forward to having some new tricks and toys I can bait him with to get him into trouble.
