Dragon is supposed to only be player content. I don't know why it occassionally has articles that seem like they should be in Dungeon. It seems to happen less often in recent issues, though. |

Meaning that when they say bought the wolf spider article, they bought it for Dragon and then split the DM stuff to Dungeon. However, their contract specified Dragon so they were obligated to publish it in said mag. But as I am A). Not a Lawyer B). Not a freelancer who has published in Dragon or Dungeon or C). an operative (openly) for WotC this is all conjecture on my part. |

| #5ranadielMar 29, 2010 5:37:36 | For the first few months that Dragon was online(well really more of for over 300 issues), Dragon covered articles for both players and DMs. Dungeon covered exclusively adventures. Sometime after the switch to digital it was decided that this split was no longer the best way to divide things so they began moving all DM articles into Dungeon. Issues released before the split though will contain DM content. |

He said he was looking at the first issue and that it was gnoll stats that he was confused about. That means it was most likely the Demonomicon article from issue 364. |
| #8mrmythApr 01, 2010 8:30:37 | Thank you for the infos. I just find it a bit annoying to be aware all the times and skip the parts I must not read because they should be reserved for our GM For many years, Dungeon magazine specifically featured adventures, and all other content (Player and DM) went into Dragon. They have recently changed that, focusing Dragon on player content and Dungeon on DM content. However, many of the earlier online magazines were before they made that change, and it sounds like that may be what you are referring to. So to reassure you, you should rarely come across full DM-only content in Dragon articles. |
