Hello.
I hope this is the right place to ask this:
As other products of WotC's DnD are for sale as pdf-files on DrivethruRPG I was wondering if this would also be possible for the collected monthly issue of Dungeon and Dragon magazines?
First, it's at the present time quite difficult, if not impossible, for some people to subscribe to the DDI as PayPal isn't an option.
And even then I would be paying for some things I'm not really interested in, as I do look for Forgotten Realms Lore, which isn't even in each issue of the magazines.

Best wishes

There is an option to subscribe to Insider on a monthly basis. Instead of buying from another site, you buy collected issues from the WotC site for $7.95 a month. Non-subscribers can browse the article blurbs that appear on-site; they can also look at the editorial calendar, giving them an idea of what to expect before paying. This way, you can buy what you're interested in.

Be aware that "auto-renewal" is forced at sign-up (there's no option to avoid it). If paying monthly, you'll need to take action to have it canceled each and every time. It requires human interaction with customer service and isn't instaneous (you gotta wait a few days for the email confirmation).

Also, I have to use a work-around to download and save Insider content. This is acknowledged by WotC as a problem (see Digital Insider #12 for the acutal news item).

My work-around
Right click on the "See It Now" link, right-click on "Save Target As". This brings up an option to save a "html" page ;); that won't work, so, close the menu. Then, I right-click on the "See It Now" link (yes, again), right-click on "Save Target As". This time it brings up an option to save an acutal PDF file. Just what I'm looking for ;).

I use Internet Explorer 6 and Adobe Reader 6. Not the most recent versions but with the work-around, I'm okay. Would an upgrade help? I wonder.
