Oct 15, 2008 13:19:47 - Is there currently any DRM method in the PDFs? (Any subscriber can possibly answer this)
- If so, which DRM system is used? (important for e-bookreaders and certain Operating Systems)
- If not, are there plans to protect the PDFs in the future? (this can only be answered by wotc employees, obviously)

if i ever subscribe, i want to use my pdfs on various systems. these questions are really important, as i definitely will not be able to use any relevant online drm - checking with some of those.

I'm e-mailing a copy of the downloaded article to my wife's Mac, however, to see if there are any login cookies or anything required.

I remain optimistic.

Oct 15, 2008 15:45:17 Nope, no DRM. And if you open them with a full version of Acrobat there are no document restrictions.

i'd pretty much appreciate an answer on this, as i won't buy anything with DRM in it. (which is why i dislike itunes...)

Oct 16, 2008 10:04:44 If it helps, I'm currently reading the Ziggurat adventure on my Sony PRS, which won't display DRM'd files, so I think it's safe to say that there's no DRM on it.

As to whether or not they plan on doing it in the future, you pegged it correctly by saying an employee of WotC will have to answer that.
