| #3john_paul_stoddardAug 28, 2008 22:24:05 | Sadly The Quality of the Maps ruin it again. Such a Shame, as we have moved into the Digital world it appears that WOTC is running on a VIC20 ![]() ![]() and I thought I had a problem keeping up with the rest of the digital world.. ![]() |

| #5fodiggAug 29, 2008 9:37:44 | Even the first page splash art looked "fuzzy" to me. Maybe I'm imagining it after reading this thread. I dunno. My mind shut down trying to read this thing. I'll pop some coffee and come back to it later. |
| #6koukAug 29, 2008 12:24:36 | I'm just speculating, but maybe it wouldn't look fuzzy if you printed it out, or used whatever resolution they expected it to be viewed in (no idea though). The biggest improvement I see is that they listed what level it is for on the individual into page instead of just on the Table of Contents. Good job with that, keep it up (please). |

Haven't read this yet (I'm so far behind on this months issue. . . and I'm still slogging through the FRCG - yikes!), but seeing Shawn Merwin authored the article, I'm not at all surprised to hear about intelligent villians. Shawn has a knack for creating intelligent modules without being an Evil Bastard about it. Yeah, that's right, I'm in the Sean Merwin fan club. Just don't tell him I said so. ![]() |

He was the factionmaster for that part of the campaign, and he's one of the Global Administrators for Living Forgotten Realms. I think he may have written CORE1-3 for LFR, but I haven't read it yet to know if its his or not. But, yeah, he does a lot of writing for the RPGA in general. ![]() |

View them at 100%, 200% and tell me they look good. Tell me what is on the tables, since you say they are high Quality |

| #12AryxbezJan 03, 2009 18:01:13 | A dead thread I'm sure, and it's been awhile by the looks of things. I've been looking at this adventure for quite a bit, unsure if I'll use it all in all, but we'll have to see. Currently the PC's are in Fort Dolor, seeking it for a safety, and probably to counter an enemy that is shown to be there. As they got a tip to go there from a letter they found on the body of an ogre. Like all DM's, we don't use the adventure word for word per say, or there might be many changes. I know some things have changed, instead of the pharmacy on the map, there is a church. It's a church of a "god" that is the current enemy of the PC's. Unsure if this god known as "Imperagon" is truly a god at all, I know they disbelieve it for the most part. Of course, I will probably just move the pharmacy to some other part of the map, not like it's placement is all that important, so long as it's in a wall or has a secret passage otherwise. Another change is, instead of it going from 220 soldiers, to 30, I found that 50 left instead was more sensible. Of course there is more threats to Fort Dolor than just what the adventure has. As I found it unlikely that any local miltia would be dumb enough to lose that many men, repetitively. As in my campaign, they were formally in threat by bandits, there's ogre attacks, and then the soldiers disappearing the forest. Now they have Bandits working for them, as a kind of "protection", of course even they may not be enough. Also, the monsters would levels would also be modified for the adventure, as the PC's are 11th level. If anyone wants to suggest that any encounters to get modified, monsters replaced and so forth, feel free to do so. Party: Fighter/Battlerager, Cleric, Monk, Rogue, Warlord, Wizard, Although I'm sure I was going to start the adventure, the PC's are currently enraptured in the whole church of Imperagon. Which is fine unto itself, glad the PC's are taking their own direction in things. Of course I'm sure they also believe it's greatly important, but not so much in pertaining to this adventure. In the 3rd encounter, or at least the encounter called the "Howling Hermit". The Ogre Warhulk's type is listed as a "mount". Is this a typo, or can and does "Trilleste the Howling Hag" ride the Ogre? I'm aware that if I want to have her ride the ogre as a mount, nothing's stopping me. However I'm wondering if this is intentional, that the encounter calls for her to be riding the Ogre. I know it's not that important, but still felt to address it. Sorry a small bit about some of my random rantings I feel. I thought to share my campaigns version of Fort Dolor if you will. I'm sure I forgot a thing or two, but oh well if so. Note: "Imperagon" is the character of the same name from the 3.0 adventure, "Lord of the Iron Fortress". |

Mea culpa on the "mount" left in the stat block. It was a copy/paste error that I missed in my draft and was obviously not caught in editing. However, I sort of love the idea of Trilleste riding the ogre! Shawn |
