This months Chaos Scar adventure (The Splintered Spring adventure) had three excellent maps for a spidery themed set of encounters and I was looking forward to the maps very much. Unfortunately - as if becoming a disturbing trend with maps now - I am to be disappointed as all three maps are still tagged. This makes them basically useless to me as I have the unfortunate prospect of having to butcher them with my terrible photoshop skills. I really have to wonder why these maps were not provided untagged, they're the pick of the maps this month.

Very disappointed, this is what I really want out of my subscription. Access to some new maps that I can use in my games

Edit: To add insult to injury, the dungeon tile maps of all things are untagged. Sigh.

Agreed.  It seems as though they stopped releasing unmarked maps.  Such a waste of good art.

Actually they do have untagged maps this month, the dungeon tile maps are untagged while the unique and best cartography isn't.

Truly that is maddening.

You are correct Aegeri.  And that seems a little silly to me since the assumption is most likely that you would recreate the dungeon tile maps with actual dungeon tiles and hence would not need an unmarked map.  Whereas the beautiful artwork commissioned by talented cartographers remains unusable.

I've reported this issue to the higher ups. I'll post any feedback I get go the main discussion thread for the Map Gallery in the D&Di General Discussion Forum.

Thank you, Asmodeus.  I hope you are able to make some headway on this.

I want to emphasize Aegeri's point that untagged versions of dungeon tiles maps are really unnecessary.  The artistic maps are the ones that really should be untagged.

In fact, I think it's fair to say that including any tagged maps in the map gallery is unnecessary.  They are already available as part of the adventure, the only place the tags are relevant.  No need to waste time re-posting the tagged maps in the map gallery.

There is now a tremendous backlog of beautiful (but tagged) maps just sitting there.  I would love it if they went a step further and removed the tags for the older maps as well.  But somehow that seems like too much to hope for...

Ideally, the map gallery should have (at a minimum) untagged high-resolution artistic maps.
