An offer draws the adventurers to an ancient field of floating crystalline earthmotes, where Krombaalt’s agent can perform a ritual that will enhance the flying tower’s magical properties. Secondly, the tower is an awesome reward and one that really reinforces the epic-ness of epic tier. At that level the players want their characters to do epic things and feel like the near godly superheroes they are. The tower is a great way to promote that style of gameplay. BUT... the DM needs to be ready for it and be comfortable with players having a large amount of freedom to explore the campaign world. If you are the kind of DM who likes to railroad the players, you will not like the tower. Thanks to WotC for their continued epic tier support. Most of the 4e campaigns I know of are either into epic tier or are in high paragon. What's really needed now are more epic tier adventures, but especially more epic tier standard monsters. |

One of my campaigns is just hitting epic tier and I gave them flying tower to kickstart the fun. I'll post and let you know how it goes. |
