Well, judging by the fact that WotC uses CC3's City Designer(I believe), I doubt we'll get something else there. However, it is currently unknown when the dungeon mapper will be done.

I don't think that is correct. I haven't head anything about this. Care to cite something or link the information that confirms this fact?

As for the Dungeon Builder... there isn't any official word on when it is coming out or its status in general.

Though I would advise MapTool from RPTools in the interim.

Apr 12, 2009 19:43:21 WotC uses whatever the cartographer they contract for the final maps uses. Some use Photoshop, some might well use CC3's City Designer.

Possibly never. The DDI tools only included the game table, dungeon builder, visualizer, and character builder, IIRC. So city designer is likely to be "never" even if everything else comes out.

However, at this time, release dates for the Dungeon Builder, Game Table, and Character Visualizer are unknown (I believe the quote from the designers is, "when they're ready").
