Any chance of this ever being resurected?  It was one of the easiest to use peices of dungeon making software I've ever used.

I'd love to be able to lay out tiles in the computer and just print out a dungeon map.

If this is what you were trying to locate, you can find the WOTC version here and the original developersd version here.

Looks like the developed version has been abandoned.  You can't even download it anymore.  I tried playing with the WotC version, but it looks like printing doesn't work.  At least not for me.  I get javascript errors.

You can find the developed version out there on the net if you google it.  Version 2.0.   But I also have had problems with that, trying to create JPGs directly from the software doesn't work.  Screen grabs do but it's not the same.

MapTool will allow you to either draw a map (using some relatively simple drawing tools) or build one from images - including images of tiles.

For instance, if you obtain a set of tile images (the ones with Dungeon Tiles Mapper can be extracted; they're scaled to a grid size of 32x32 pixels), you can size the MapTool grid to fit, and then they can be "snapped" into place to make a map image. For instance, I recreated the maps from "Stormcrow Tor" using MapTool and dungeon tiles.

MapTool does not have any printing capability, though - it is designed for online virtual tabletop play, so if you're looking for something to print the maps you make, MapTool isn't it.

Yeah, they're awesome.  I think once you import them you have to put in the width and height (I know a pain in the ass....), but once its done just make your maps under; project-tcatical maps and print with 1" resolution (you'll figure it out), the resolution will be better than you expect!  Plus check out the encounter building tools on masterplan, it makes running an encounter incredibly easy.  (Like running a battle with 20+ enimies and 7 players in less than an hour!)

A new Mapper is my #1 priority on my wishlist for the next Adventure Tool. It dont even need to be 3D or whatever.

Heck, they could even make it an online only thing so that it doesn't canabalize from the tile sales.  But only if I can print in full resolution.  It shouldn't be too hard to have a system on their end that takes the low rez, small image, dungeon you create and stitch it together on their end then send (email, download, whatever) you the full res version for printing/electronic gaming.

If you want free, go look at the dundjinni forums, they have a large quantity of quality public domain material provided by the forum users.
