| #1jimmydeemoApr 22, 2009 1:19:49 | I bought DDI last month for a one month subscription, and i've been pretty please with it. I'd like to buy a one year package but i'm aware that sometimes it can be a bit tricky to swap the subscriptions. Whats the best way to do it? Cancel auto-renew, wait until my DDI expires and then order a year? Or have i missed the opption to just change my subscrption type? Help much appreciated. |

I'd like to buy a one year package but i'm aware that sometimes it can be a bit tricky to swap the subscriptions. It's been a while since this was asked, but as I recall the correct process is to purchase the one-year subscription - at that point your one-month subscription should stop being billed. However, if you have any doubts, please feel free to contact Customer Service: http://www.wizards.com/customerservice. They can help you make sure that the changes you're trying to make happen correctly. ![]() |

Here's the high-level summary: - buy the 1 year - contact customer service - get refunded the unused portion of your current subscription (if there is any overlap) If your current 1 month is just about to expire, you probably also want to turn off auto-renew on it, just so that you don't get another renewal that you don't need. (CS typically takes care of that when they process a refund, but if the timing is close, it's better to play it safe). |
