I"m trying to write up a 2nd level adventure to support a campagin where a chaos sorcerer has begun to unleash a the primordial powers against the world. My climax of the adventure they confront the sorcerer who has elemental guardians protecting him. I'm trying to find stats for 5 elementals (Air, earth, fire, water, void) which work as guardians for the boss. Each one should try to have a unique enemy roll (Brute, Lurker, Artillery, Controller, and Soldier). Party of 4-5 PC's. Any suggestions on monster types???

Any element can work as any role.  I would go with the following however:

Earth = Brute
Water = Controller
Air = Lurker
Fire = Artillery

Then after all four have been defeated, create two para-elementals:

Magma = Soldier (Fire/Earth)
Cloud = Skirmisher (Water/Air)

After those two have been defeated, create a monster that uses all four elements and call it an Chaos Elemental or something.  I think I'll make these monsters using the builder tomorrow when I get home from work.

Look at the elementals from MM3 and use Monster Builder to downgrade them to appropriate levels.
