Elite/Solo monster creation in Monster Builder?

Mar 21, 2009 19:56:51 Am I missing something or is there no way to make a monster you create in the Monster Builder (which I'm loving,) an Elite or a Solo?

There's no Minion selector in the Role selections.

Mar 23, 2009 10:17:07 Yeah... this is probably what we'll get with the Monster Builder. It doesn't seem like anything else will be coming with that as the one who made the program has since been laid off by WoTC.

Character Builder to build and track your characters?
Compendium to look stuff up in a fast and easy way?
Dungeon as a source of adventures which you can bring into your campaign?
Dragon for a source of ideas and inspiration and expansions?

You absolutely don't NEED DDi. But that's not to say it can't add to your game.

As with all these things, YMMV of course.

I sounded like sour grapes, didn't I? Let me state for the record that I freaking LOVE the Character Generator. Love it. I don't use the Compendium because where I game there is no **** so it's worthless. If they got the rest up and running I'd find a place to game that had a **** and go there. I am starting an online game, though. Maybe it'll be useful now.

Not big on the Dungeon/Dragon magazines online. I like to have the issues in front of me and am VERY down on PDF only media. Yes, I understand why they did it so I'm not complaining about that - I just wouldn't pay for them if I had my druthers. I am a DDi subscriber right now ONLY because of the Character Generator.

Anyway, I'm rambling now.

tl;dr version:

I'd rather get a fully integrated DDi than piecemeal from third party developers. I'd also like world peace and my kids to realize that I'm a genius and my word is never to be questioned.:D
