Jan 23, 2009 15:43:17 I suspect in the full edition for homebrewed characters that this may become an option, however I'm suggesting that in the character building, we have an option to simply manually enter what scores we want to have, irrelevant of their point build.

In testing, I was usually prohibited from increasing scores manually beyond a point system unless I did a rolling method numerous times until I acquired enough points to 'cheat the system.'

In my campaigns, I use a 3d6 with reroll options system which would be far more easily supported by manual entries after rolling.

An option to turn off this message would be nice.

I'm not sure how you mean that. If you enter the stats directly in the "Score" box instead of using the +- on the sides of the blue circles, then he doesn't try to fix anything and just accepts your choice. On the other hand, if you decide to roll and increase the score through the +-, it is not allowing you to go to the next step.. is that what you mean?

The manual entry works perfectly fine really.

At level one, my stats were thus:
20/17/16/15/16/16

According to the point-buy system, I had -38 points left. I rolled very high on my character, but my DM let me keep it because I'm just in it for fun, and don't plan on abusing it. I don't need the INT or CHA anyway, so who cares? For that matter, DEX is irrelevant too, because I'm using a warhammer and heavy armor.

OK, I just checked my character again, and it no longer does that. I'm not sure why, but perhaps it was an update?

Feb 22, 2009 16:33:25 Hi in the bata and the demo version I was able to enter the scores I wanted.
Hear is how you first role up the stats as normal, then use the add button to incress the scores as needed.
