Eight of us got together today and created characters at lunch during work today. The resounding request from everyone was...they want an option to enter in ability scores.

There is a traditional, warm-fuzzy feeling about rolling your own dice, then applying that to your character. Who wants the cold computer to roll the dice for your character anyway? That is one of the few tangible connections to creating the character we have left.

By the way, other than that...everyone loved the character builder. It went over great.

You can, I believe, manually enter ability scores by typing in the white boxes in the Ability tab.

Go to the Character Sheet screen and unlock the panels. You can manually enter your scores there. The only hiccup I found is that sometimes when you hit "Next" it bounces you back to the ability scores window. Therefore, I tweak the scores after I've done everything else. It does all the math based on your manually entered scores.

You don't need to go to the character sheet or unlock the panels.

Just go the ability scores tab and type them in the white boxes.

Whoops. Looks like I was clicking the wrong space. I was using + and - keys. I suppose a little mention of that in the Ability Scores description section would help. I know there's a thread with all kinds of tips, but I didn't find that until later. Eh!
