Equipment Designation

One minor inconvenience I have noticed in the builder is the limited ability to designate armor and equipment on the Equipment screen.

What I mean is, when making an Eladrin Swordmage and wanting to take full advantage of Swordmage Warding, I chose a longsword but do NOT want to use it Versatile. However, there are no options in the equipment menu to designate the longsword as one hand use ONLY. Therefore on my powercards the Beta adds the +1 to damage for using versatile.

Another area this comes into play is with Characters who use ranged AND melee weapons (most do, I assume). It would be AWESOME to be able to designate the Javelins I buy as "Ranged Basic" on my equipment list, and my longsword as "Melee Basic." Or something to that effect.

So there are my two cents

According to Ask Wizards it's a free action to grab and let go of the sword so you can basically have the versatile bonus and the hand free.

Also if you go into the character sheet you can edit which attacks it shows so you can get rid of javelin as melee if you like.

I had a thought similar to this. If I have a Ranger and use a bow and two-handed fighting but on the power card it only shows whichever weapon is equipped when printed. It would be nice if it would show melee and ranged weapons, what if I dropped my bow to use my dual swords at close range.

I am disappointed the character builder doesn't have magic items found in the Keep of the Shadowfell module. One of my player's paladin is wielding Aecris. I can add it as a customizing note but the +1 to hit and damage do not get calculated in the powers on the power cards.
