Error in the .dnd4e file export for item url's

I'v been creating a player aid type program that loads dnd4e files and displays powers, items, feats, skills etc. to the player and tracks the usages of powers etc. This program is making use of the URL's embedded listed in the dnd4e files to open a browser and display more information about a power or an item. This works like a charm with powers and skills, but it does not work anymore with items (I know it used to work, but I can't remember when the problem first appeared).

When I open the URL for a power I'm asked for a DDI login and then shown "the power card". When I try the same ting with the URL for an item i get stuck in an endless loop of login screens.

Two examples:

A wokring power URL: www.wizards.com/dndinsider/compendium/di...

A non-working item URL: www.wizards.com/dndinsider/compendium/it...

If I try to "doctor" the last url to something like the first (...display.aspx?page=item&id=2165) I get an item, but it is not the correct one
(I get the Bloodcurse Rod, but was looking for Luckblade +1)

There are at least one other program out there that uses this information (the DnD4e Combat Manager) and has the same problem.

Hopefully this will be easy to fix - if I get to choose I'd like the existing url's to work, but I can live with exporting my characters again if the fix means an update to the export function
