| #1MockApr 24, 2010 16:02:03 | Attempting to reinstall the CB, I get the message "Unable to Contact Network" when I start the DDI_CB executable. It seems straightforward enough, but I wanted to see if this could be taken at face value (e.g., "DDI is currently unavailable so you can't download any of the software"), or is this an error that actually could means something else. I have opened a hole in the firewall for the installer (just in case) and I've run it both as Administrator and without elevated permissions. Thoughts? Should I just go away and come back later? Thanks. |
| #2nephelimApr 24, 2010 17:24:28 | I just ran into the same error... never had that happen before. Considering you posed an hour before I did, and you are the only post I can find with that error message, perhaps its legit. |
| #3MockApr 24, 2010 17:32:46 | Yeah, sounds like it. I was just curious if anyone had found that to mean something else (like, "You have already used up your downloads") or something weird like that. |
| #4Grinning-OniApr 24, 2010 23:11:41 | Just purchased a subscription and attempted to download the CB and got the exact same error. I'm currently in South Korea and worried that maybe it is being blocked for some reason. [edit: And now it's working. Yay.] |
| #5MockApr 25, 2010 6:16:08 | Glad it's working for somebody! I'm still getting the same message here (I'm in the US), unfortunately. Ah, wait...I decided to try hitting "continue download" over and over again (awesome troubleshooting technique, eh?) and on one of those times it got through. |
| #6epsilonthetaApr 25, 2010 12:32:15 | I have the exact same issue! I suggest we wait for the Weekend to swoosh by and see if Monday brings any improvements to the situation. |
| #7mustaphaleekApr 25, 2010 15:59:15 | Having a similar problem. Windows did its usual trick of falling on its own sword. Restored my system, updated .net frameworks etc, now i get the same message as you guys. Good job i still have pen & paper character sheets. |
| #8mustaphaleekApr 25, 2010 16:33:56 | Aha download the .net framework program from pindersoft - free. It checks what .net framework you are using. Now we are re-installing without problem. |
| #9epsilonthetaApr 26, 2010 5:46:03 | Aha download the .net framework program from pindersoft - free. It checks what .net framework you are using. Now we are re-installing without problem. .Net was not the issue. The problemresolved itself for me and now it is downloading properly. I guess they had some server problems over the weekend. |
