#1 dal64 Jan 17, 2011 23:23:15	hey, i do not yet own the essentials boks so am not clear on the rules with items. i recently made a essentials character and i found a cape of mountebank in last weekends session. when i tried to add it on the character builder i couldn't find it. i then loaded up another non-essentials character and could find it. my question, are the essentials characters limited to certain items? can i not equip my characters with items from other sources such as the adventure vaults and various dragon and dungeon magazines? i dont really wanna hand write in all my item's enhancements, properties and powers. so just wondering if there is a stated rule when using essentials characters and what items they are entitled to. cheers in advance dal

If you want to make an Essentials Character that can gain items and or feats from other sources you I would recommend going thru the Custom then Home Campaign options to build your character.
