#4 aropax Dec 17, 2010 1:55:58	FFS! I built the character and was ready to make the changes. Would have played it tonight, but since the final rules are not up for it, the DM wont allow it. Thank you for spoiling another session of D&D for me...  Can someone important give me a free pass to print for my DM? Maybe if its on an official WotC letterhead he will still allow me to play the character...

#8 adun_irving Dec 17, 2010 12:57:52	Of course it is! They couldn't let mechanics into the game! That's for the newbie DMs to design and balance for themselves, just like in the old days! Flavor text, which anyone can write, is much more important to publish, because everyone knows that the more codified and accessible the mechanics are, the harder it is for the DM to cheat and abuse players, and we can't have DMs playing fair; it wouldn't be like the old days! Instead, they have to publish in the players' magazine rare items that the players can't obtain without DM permission, so that they'll feel the need to beg the DM for the item, just like the old days! ...D&D Essentials? More like D&D Nostalgia, and not even the good kind.
