Now please excuse any Misprints, typos or misspelled/misplaced words.

I have found that the exported file from the new Character builder does not import into iPlay4e.com at all without some minor manipluation:

1. Export file as normal
2. Open said file with Wordpad or something simular (not notepad).
3. Save file in MSDos format
4. Rename file extenstion to dnd4e
5. Upload to iPlay4e.com

Files opens just fine if the above is done but will not load otherwise.

Hope this was/is Helpful.

Actually you need to resave your characters you have built before you can export them and upload them to Iplay4e.  I generally go in and change a stat down then back up and resave it.  Then it works just fine.

A little easier than what you are recommending

I have had 33% success so far...

13th Level Minotaur Runepriest done
13th Level Elven Seeker failed upload to iplay4e
13th Level Eladrin Swordmage failed upload to iplay4e

How is everyone else's experience with using export and iplay4e?

Hi folks,

Andrew here from iPlay4e.
html_removed
Mithreinmaethor is right regarding the need to Save the character before Export to iPlay4e will work.  To get export working with iPlay4e, the DDI folks had to:

- Add back in export functionality.
- Put some things back into the file that were stripped during the move to OCB.

The second half doesn't "take" until you save the character.

If, after following that process, you've still got issues, please report them on our Google Group.  Attach the file to the report.  We'll get things sorted.

Cheers,
Andrew
