#1 jasonaburton Jun 22, 2008 12:57:45	I am wondering how good the program Fantasy Grounds 2 is? I'm willing to purchase a VT but I want to know what the best one out there is. I'm not interested in any free products, I've tried most of them, but I want something more. Also, does Fantasy Grounds 2 work for D&D 4.0? like is it open-ended? Thanks in advance
#2 andypan Jun 22, 2008 22:31:46	I have been using Fantasy Grounds for about the last three years, and really couldn't be happier with the program. With the introduction of Fantasy Grounds 2, the developers took an already great product and made it a million times better. Although there is a bit of a learning curve, the program is surprisingly easy to use. There is also an active and creative community which is constantly creating custom rulesets which can be added, making the program very versatile. Although intended to support the d20 system, I have seen mention of people creating rulesets for other game systems. So FG has some real potential. They recently made a FG2 demo available, so be sure to check it out. It's limited in scope, but you'll get a good idea of its features. Sadly, FG2 does not at this time officially support 4E, and if the rumblings I have heard are to believed, that is unlikely to change.
#3 MacPharlan Jun 22, 2008 22:37:09	I am liking Maptool. I chose it because it was free and I wanted to wait for the D&D table to come out first and see what pricing was.
