I still have trouble believing this is NOT being supported by the devs for end users.

They have the ability to add all the items that their team has created; in fact, they just released the Beta of the Monster Builder (allowing me to drag and drop powers and change every aspect of a monster to suit my game) but I still can't add a new item to the equipment roster and have the builder interpret it properly!!

Seriously, the builder isn't all that useful a tool for my players right now since I make ALL the items up for our game; the items have a place in the world, a history, a maker - a way for them to be undone; none of it is generic.

No one in my world has ever grabbed a sword and said..."+1, poof!. Hey, imp, go sell this in town for some operating capital"
They created them with a purpose; others were created through acts; good, evil or in between and we have a LOT of extra sheets floating around detailing their powers, their flaws, their stories.

I'd like to have the ability to keep this all in one unified ruleset, one unified database that follows one set of formatting rules, but I'm still out in the cold here.

Can we get verification that this request (that has made it on to many users feature request lists) is at least being looked into? Or if not, tell us and I can stop hoping.
