| #2ignis_fatuusSep 25, 2009 11:10:11 | I've actually been looking forward since it was scheduled for eleven days ago... |
| #3tombowingsSep 25, 2009 11:48:07 | I've also been looking forward to it ever since it was mentioned in the Fighter Essentials article last month. |
| #4rtrnofdmaxSep 25, 2009 15:04:15 | It's up. Check the editorial links. |
| #5GhostStepperSep 25, 2009 15:55:46 | How the hell did Warding Steel make it in there as written? Thats ridiculous. |
| #6anubis_reynardSep 25, 2009 16:06:55 | Wicked Strike may replace Brash Strike in some builds, I think. It trades the +2 to hit to not grant CA... and does even more damage than Brash at epic. And it can automatically be used on Conbat Challange attacks. |
| #7kilpatdsSep 25, 2009 16:11:10 |
doesn't it trade +4 to hit, effectively? |
| #8GhostStepperSep 25, 2009 16:14:42 | The -2 to hit isnt worth it though the fact that you can use it on a charge is good. Use that and Hewing Charge together and you are easily beating the barbarian for at-will charing damage if you actually hit. |
| #9ignis_fatuusSep 25, 2009 16:16:58 | I was a bit dissapointed that almost all of the feats can not be accessed through MCing, I was actually hoping for some two-handed weapon goodness that an avenger could use... What I did like were the powers that let you do a charge after the attack, that's an interesting approach to multiattacking! |

This! It gets more and more frustrating playing a barbarian as the defenders get more and more damage options. |

Though only if the target is already marked. Perhaps a +1 Javilin? Or Dwarven Throwers? Or even a Paladin Multiclass |

I was imagining playing the fighter barbarian style in place of the barbarian. Attack, shift away and charge on your turn a target you already marked. It would be pretty good in a polearm gamble build. Or use Deft Hurler cheese. Smack one guy, throw at another, then charge the second target next turn. Alternatively, it seems that with a Badge of the Berserker and Roundabout Charge you can charge someone you are already adjacent to every round without provoking by moving 2 squares into another space adjacent to the same target. |

Gah! an at-will minor action that increases AC and Fort by something like 4. or 6. BROKEN! Isn't that obvious? I feel ashamed to take it. |
| #14elwyndasSep 25, 2009 23:40:13 | The fact that MC'ing doesn't allow you to take most of the best stuff makes me hope that primal power will offer some really cool stuff, so the fighter class stops being the barbarian's mom and pop shop |
| #15GhostStepperSep 26, 2009 9:18:05 |
Hey man, you know im with you there. The more stuff comes out, the less i see a point in playing a barbarian when the fighter can do at least as much damage on top of having a lot more utility. |
| #16psikusSep 28, 2009 2:15:25 | I was a bit dissapointed that almost all of the feats can not be accessed through MCing, I was actually hoping for some two-handed weapon goodness that an avenger could use... The feats not being available to MC is a side effect, I think, of the main point of the article: give Greatweapon fighters something that can't also be taken by battleragers. Even after the battlerager errata, that build has had access to everything weapon talent fighters had (except the +1 to hit), and then some more. With the new feats, and Hewing Charge in particular, now there's something that differentiates the build from others, apart from a 5% chance to hit.
