| #1WotC_YoungsAug 04, 2008 19:38:15 | We're aware of the file size issues. We tried a new compilation generation technique this time around, so we'll be going back to the old way of doing things next time around. Also, today's article, "Mithrendain," was intended to go up last Friday, but we hit a technical snag, mostly due to the size of those compilations screwing with our servers. The Dragon editorial just went up, and should be live within the hour, if it's not already. Dungeon's editorial and the article on Gontal are coming up on Wednesday. I know this is the Dragon folder, and #366 is shaping up really well, but I'm especially proud of the Dungeon authors this month. We have two new writers in Dungeon, and Tim Hitchcock, a long-time Dungeon contributor, has his first 4th Edition adventure showing up this issue. Back to Gen Con planning for me, now! Powerpoint ftw! Chris |

Surely it can't be screwed up to where you are unable to present the latest full issue using the old method? Someone must have known about parallel systems so you could compare the methods and if the new one doesn't work you still have to old one for instances like this very thing. That way the current issue wouldn't have open problems with older versions of PDF readers that other issues do not have, and also those downloading the edition in question would get a smaller filesize via the older compilation method? |
