My loyal, two-year subscription to DDI expired yesterday. I received an e-mail asking (begging?) me to resubscribe. I stared at the e-mail for a moment before deleting it. This morning, I looked over what the D&D homepage had to offer me, and I realized that I'm not missing anything--today's DDI offerings simply aren't anything I care about. For that matter, it's been a long time since Dungeon or Dragon printed anything I cared about. In a way, I'm releaved. In another way, I'm saddened.

Yes, I know, "who cares?" Well, I do, and I'd hope that WotC does as well. 'Nuff said.

Most online services having that "please come back" email offer a hint of what is being developed or try to convince you that the service is a great deal.
I'm curious what the email said.

I'm at work right now and don't have access to the exact wording (or I'd post it here), but it basically boiled down to "Your subscription expired either because it ran out or you canceled it. Please click here to resubscribe!" Irresistable marketing, I tell you.

I guess the point of this post is the revelation that my roleplaying life hasn't changed at all, even though I no longer have access to the DDI content.
