| #1roger_bertFeb 06, 2010 14:02:56 | Starting with the January CB update and continuing with the February CB update I have been having problems with printing output on only the first page of characters. My copy of character builder is printing many of my characters as a lower-resolution image copy for the first page of the character sheet and the rest of the pages are the normal full quality/resolution as before. Some of the characters are printing normally. I was hoping this would be fixed in the February update but it has not. I am still having the issue and noticed it mainly impacts high-level characters. The first page of character builder output is being sent to the printer as a lower quality graphics "image block" instead of high quality text and images as it did before January. Anyone else experiencing this? This causes extremely fuzzy looking first page. I conducted another test with a third-level character and it was printed normally with fonts/text and high quality images. Printing to PDF confirms that the application is now sending the first page as an image instead of Text. This is extremely ugly and fuzzy and not acceptable. The second page always is sent as text/fonts and is always high quality. It doesn't matter how much I customize the second page it still looks awesome but the first page looks like crap now. I never had this issue with any characters before the January update and lower-level character seem fine as well. Any solutions? Thanks. -Roger |

I have characters of levels 14, 11, 8, 7, 5, 2, and 1. The 11 and the 1 appear normally, all the others are fuzzy. |

EDIT: Okay, its only happening for a level 11 Sorcerer character. The first page of the character sheet prints out horrible and blurry every time. The rest of the party prints off fine. |
| #4musicmakerSep 22, 2010 2:37:07 | I am also having this issue. First page is low-res ("blurry"), and all the rest of the pages seem to be OK. In the past, when using a custom character portrait, I had issues with page 2 being blurry, but when I downsized my portrait file to the same dimensions as the sample character .png files all was fine. This current issue is different- page 1 is blurry no matter what. My character is a level 10 sorcerer. He looked fine up through level 8. Then at level 9, the left "border" of the left column on page 2 disappeared (leaving a 3-sided box for money, for example). Now, at level 10, the front page is blurry. What's causing this? Very annoying. Low-res look is terrible. Mere coincidence that grimmshade is/was also having trouble with a sorcerer problem? Perhaps a bug with the class? |

It is a problem with the character builder application. I have had many of these low resolution errors on characters and none of them were sorcerers. One thing that seems to sometimes fix it is to reset the first page to default. This also can loose your customized notes on that page so it is a bad fix. -Warunsun |
