#1 d4m0cles Jan 18, 2010 10:50:45	They've previewed the new fighter build in Martial Power 2 and when i read it this power immediately jumped at me. Would it be ok for a DM to say no to a Forceful Drag attempt on a Huge+ monster? Ok since the beginning of 4e, Push, Pull and Slide effect are the one effect who create the most awkward feel as far as realism can go. But this, a fighter dragging a dragon with him... just lol This is way over the Magical look of martial power. What you think? Here is a copy of this preiewed ability: Forceful Drag
#2 lizardmage Jan 18, 2010 10:56:59	While I usually just refluff the push/pull as in a realistic fight, someone that knows what they are doing can force their opponent where they want, I am inclined to agree here.  If it did not require you to "grab" the target things would different, it would be a matter of just attacking the feet or distracting the dragon and making it step to the left or backwards.  Still though, D&D is known for it's seriously epic moments, and it doesn't get much more epic then grabbing and dragging  Cyan Bloodbane and face planting him into the ground 30 feet away. EDIT:  The most obvious bit about this power though, you still have to grapple the Huge+ sized creature which in and of itself can be the challenge, so if you do pull that off maybe you deserve to face plant Cyan.
#3 theoucrew Jan 18, 2010 12:25:35	"GRAB: STANDARD ACTION Target: You can attempt to grab a creature that is smaller than you, the same size category as you, or one category larger than you. The creature must be within your melee reach (don’t count extra reach from a weapon)." You cannot grab huge creatures to begin with, so it shoudn't be an issue.
