Someone please kick the Hamster Wheel that drives their server/bandwidth and juice him up or something. This is rediculous.

Do serious companies in 2008 still put their hardware in-house and on crap servers?

I suggest a Co-Lo .. and a good one. Invest in some load balanced servers and a nice Fiber based SAN and enough bandwidth so that your company doesn't look rediculous when people visit.

I gave someone a link to the forums a week or so ago and then asked if he made an account yesterday.

"No way man.. I had to click the button to create an account like ten times and it still never popped up. If the forums are that slow, just forget it." Was the gist of his reply.

Sad. I forsee SLOW as H3LL D&Di tools with anything that needs bandwidth if its HOSTED in their site.

Probably overwhelmed with people looking for information that should be on the front page of the D&Di website considering 5 days has passed since launch.

One should remember or at least learn the IT team planed the crash for GenCon 4th announcement by believing system could handle the load. That these forums are taken down every day for "maintainance"
At least WotC sees a performance problem and hope to correct it soon.

I posted about this weeks ago, so it's not a problem confined to the launch a few days ago. The speed of these forums is really bad. Worse than any forums I frequent. By far.
