| #1Johnny_AngelSep 09, 2009 17:23:25 | I have seen a few ideas bouncing around about how to do elves in Dragonlance, and I've recently had an epiphany...
I feel that the relationship that the Gith races have with each other would more closely resemble the split between elves in Dragonlance than the default relationship between 4E Elves and 4E Eladrin. I'm still unsure where that would leave the Wilder Elves though... perhaps, since Orcs don't exist in Dragonlance, Orcs could be given a different 'paint job' so to speak and be turned into the Wilder Elves.

I'm not currently DMing right now, but I've been tossing it around in my head that if I were to run a 4th ed Dragonlance campaign that I'd "repaint" certain standard races as follows: Orcs = Tarmak Half-orcs = Damjatt, Keena Changelings = Irda Goliath = Half-ogre
As for the elves, I was tossing around the idea that all elves on Krynn are per PHB elves, with certain exceptions. The original elves (the Hulder elves of Taladas) would be considered eladrin. However, one way of working in eladrin in an Ansalon based game would be to say that with the magical change over Inath-Wakenti that any elves present within would have been affected by the change so that they are now considered eladrin. |

Meanwhile, the wild elf tribes (Copper Elves and Green Elves) became the 4E Elves. Since the Qualinesti and Silvanesti were the Moon Elves and Sun Elves, that would imply that they are now both considered Eladrin, while the wild elf Kagonesti are 4E Elves. |

That's kind of the route I'm taking. This not only allows for some symmetry, but it fits thematically as well. Then maybe replace the Feywild with the valley of Inath-Wakenti on where they teleport through. |
