I haven't read overly much about them in novels, but they seem abrasive to the point where non-Silvanesti would not want to travel with them. |

While they are your sterotypical "snobish" elves, sometimes the need of a service/item/help can overide a persons inborn pride. if you're worried about your players being the sterotypical elf that wouldn't want anything to do with a non elf party then try to include something they may need, that cant be gotten from other elves. Information....a perticular item (maybe a lost family heirloom). Not every adventureing party needs to be born of friendship, sometimes just similar goals is enough to draw people together. |

At least in my opinion, the fact that the Silvanesti got smacked in the War of Souls, the pride thing is going to be taken down a notch or two. Bringing up the minotaur invasion will anger and possibly incite violence for certain, so tread carefully there. But although they are proud, they aren't stupid. They have to realize that essentially they are guests in someone else's house.
