I remember reading somewhere that the elves defeated takhisis once and trapped the essence of her dragons in stones which dwarves later unearthed. I also remember reading about one war that involved the creation of the ToHS and the three gods of magic. That all happened before the war that Huma was involved in. The war that Huma was part of was the last one prior to the War of the Lance. So how many where there? |

The First Fragon War opposed the metallic dragons and their Silvanesti elves allies to the chromatic dragons and their ogre allies. It was likely more a series of regular battle and skirmishes as it lasted from around 3900 PC (pre-Cataclysm) to 3550 PC. I'm picturing it as something akin to the Hundred Years' War in Europe. The Second Dragon War opposed once again the metallic dragons and Silvanesti elves to chromatic dragons aided by ogres and bakali. It took place between 2692 PC and 2645 PC. This war also led to lots of raw, wild magic to be released upon Krynn, which would later lead to the creation of the Orders of High Sorcery. The Third Dragon War is the one that involved the Knights of Solamnia, Huma Dragonbane, Kaz the minotaur, and Magius, among others. It took place around 1000 PC. This is also when the Dragon Orbs and the first dragonlances were created. |
