Dragonborn:
When Dracart, Wyrllish and Harkiel created the Draconians, no thought was given to the long-term ramifications of their experiments. Given the fact that they were created to serve the role of expendable shock troops, and were never intended to reproduce, such short-sightedness is unsurprising to say the least.
In discovering the female eggs which allowed their race to reproduce, previously recessive traits have begun manifesting themselves in their offspring.
When these recessive traits manifest in an individual, they come to be known as Dragonborn. As Wingless Draconians, Dragonborn typically have the same colouration and features of their Draconian parents, however in place of the more common (and spectacular) Death Throws, these Draconians manifest the recessive breath weapons of their draconic forefathers.
While it is uncommon, it is not unheard of for some Dragonborn (especially Sivak Dragonborn) to grow wings later in life, as previously dormant genes become active.
Some Draconians hail Dragonborn as the evolution of their species. Others see them as throwbacks to the mighty wyrms to which the Draconians are decended, others envy them for their similarity to true dragons, while others see them no differently than they do other Draconian species.
Regardless of how any specific Draconian feels about Dragonborn, Dragonborn are afforded equal status in Draconian society, and experience little to no prejudice as a result. As a race with few females, Draconians cannot afford to be picky with their offspring.
In my campaing (that i´m about to restart with D&D4th), i´m planning to use the background of the Bakali to integrate the dragonborns.
That way, they´ll have the chance to appers in every Era.

Another option is that dragonborn are draconians. You just need to get a few rules tweaks, some racial paragon paths, and you're good.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if I was one of the people who spoke of this topic over on the DL nexus forums.

Do not forget the noble draconians presented in the Bestiary of Krynn. Though not noted in any DL novel, these draconians would be more likely to produce lawful and/or good offspring.
Actually, there's a noble drac (a vapor draconian, specifically) in one of the anthologies (forget which one off the top of my head). He's in one of Kevin Stein's short stories about the Bundesphar.
In my campaign, I have introduced the Dragonborn by having them enter Krynn from a planner Gate. Originally, this is gate was used by the Dragonborn to escape the Cataclysm (which explains their absence)
When the Dragonborn returned to Krynn and discovered that Draconians were created creatures, they quickly began to view them as abominations, a twisted insult to their entire race. Hence the Dragonborn in Krynn have developed a natural enmity towards Draconians.
In addition, the Dragonborn in my campaign are having a hard time convincing others of their true nature and are in a constant struggle to build a sizable reputation. Simply put, being a dragon-man is not easy in Krynn.
I've thought long and hard about making Dragonborn replace Draconians and the more I did the more I hated the idea. With this solution you get the best of two worlds.
